Located in Londons Ace Corner North Circular Road Stonebridge the ACE Cafe London is one of the worlds most renowned places when it comes to motorcycles classic cars and rock and roll. The ACE Cafe has put Stonebridge on the map as it has gathered people ranging from 18 to a 100 for more than six decades. Whether you are a bike enthusiast a rock and roll fan or simply enjoy having a beer with your friends at the bar this is the place to be. The cafe has also opened a gift shop selling memorabilia that ranges from bandanas books and jackets to beer mugs. So if you are a tourist passing by taking a picture and getting a souvenir is always an option. Among its unique characteristics the ACE Cafe restricts car park access to pre1984 vehicles in order to avoid a car park full of everyday modern cars giving the front of the place an ‘old school atmosphere’. The cafe has a really welltailored website that provides visitors a lot of information the website can also be seen both in Japanese and German languages; the cafe is really famous in Japan which is odd as Japan has also been a carloving country so it is common to see Japanese tourists shopping at the cafes gift shop.
The food
At ACE Cafe food is as legendary as the cafe itself the menu offers a wide variety of basic meals every breakfast under the sun sausage chips beans egg gammon steak beef burger and then the surprise on the specials board steamed pudding curry stew and make no mistake big portions cheap plenty of booze or soft drinks / tea/ coffee if you’re riding have always been the cafs trademark. Do not skip the chance to try their Nachos which are said to be the best in town!
Events
The first Ace Cafe Reunion was held in 1994 attracting 12000 people. The following annual reunions known as “Ace Days” took place on : Brighton’s famous Madeira Drive. The original Ace site couldn’t accommodate the rising numbers of visitors. Over 25000 enthusiastic riders celebrated Ace Day in 1997. As stated large scale events attract up to 25000 riders quite a sight when they take on the road.
In case you are not in town by the time thousands of riders hit the road there have been more than 20000 in some reunions there’s also car nights scooter nights yes scooter nights and any given weekend there’s always at least one event at least one band in the night and at least one ride out which makes the ACE Cafe a place that you cannot miss if you visit London. They also have their events scheduled on their website so you can always get access to whats going on in this Londons legendary corner.
Having Survived WWII the ACE Cafe is here to stay passing the tradition from one generation to another and reviving the hog rock scene anytime a new customer comes in and comes out a friend! Its opening hours are: Mon to Sat 7:00 23:00 Sun amp; Good Friday 7:00 22:30 on Live Music Nights the opening hours are 7:00 2:00.
